ABOUT THE PROGRAM
Looking for something fun, creative, and eco-friendly for the September school holidays?
Join Renee Chagoury, founder of Australia’s leading circular fashion movement Thrifter, for a full-day sustainability experience like no other. This hands-on program is perfect for curious minds, mini makers, and future change makers who care about the planet and love getting creative.
Through games, challenges, up cycling fun and planet-positive learning, kids will walk away inspired, empowered, and ready to make a difference!
PROGRAM SCHEDUELE
9:00am – Welcome to Thriftland!
* Icebreaker games + intros
* What's fast fashion? Why does sustainability matter?
10:00am – Trash to Treasure Challenge
* Kids receive pre-loved clothing + items (that would make their way into landfill)
* In teams, they brainstorm, design, and repurpose them into something amazing
* Bonus: mini pitch presentations!
11:30am – Morning Tea
12:00pm – The SDG Mission Game
* An interactive game connecting real-world actions to the UN Sustainable Development Goals
* Fun, team-based, and packed with lightbulb moments!
1:00pm – DIY Workshop: Personalised Tote
* Design & decorate your own second-hand tote bag or t-shirt
* Includes fabric paints, patches, stencils, and all materials provided
2:30pm – My Sustainability Pledge + Mini Graduation
* Group reflection
* Kids write and share one change they’ll take home
* Receive their “Sustainability Superstar” Certificate from Renee
3:00pm – Pick Up & Planet Proud!
