Founded as an initiative for the general community to sell their pre-loved clothes, Thrifter provides a unique thrifting experience for shoppers. Thrifter was born with a focus on providing a space where the community can make money from their pre-loved items. We sell your wardrobe in our space for a whole calendar month in the busiest thrift studios in Queensland!

  • How do I Rent a Rack?
    Select your desired store location at the top of this website and follow the prompts to book your rack.
  • How much does it cost for a Rack or Market Stall?
    Our base rate for our monthly Rent-A-Rack system is $390 at Kawana, Brisbane & Noosa Upstairs. Shared with a friend, it is $195 each. Our Noosa Downstairs is $290, or $145 when sharing. Noosa Downstairs clothes MUST be priced $30 and under. Pop-up markets are $50 per stall space, or $25 each when sharing. We pride ourselves on being the cheapest Rent-A-Rack system in Australia. You make 100% profits, we do not take a cut!
  • How many items can I sell?
    You are given 45 regular hangers & 5 clip hangers. You can top up anytime throughout your month, having 50 items on your rack at any time. You are also allowed 2 x pairs of shoes & 2 x bags included in the 50 items.
  • How do I tag my items?
    You can purchase tags at shops like Officeworks, Kmart, Big W, or get creative & make them out of old cards, paper etc. You must put your first name & first initial of your last name on the tag, ensuring that it matches your booking name. You must also include the price of the item, and it is a good idea to put a small description on their too, for example; Ren C, black mini dress $15.
  • What if I don't make back the cost of the rack?
    As per our T&Cs, we can never guarantee that you will make above your rack hire. However, it is extremely rare to not at least make back your rack hire fee, especially if you are topping up throughout the month and making the most out of your rack hire! Our best sellers always make incredible amounts when they are topping up weekly, asking staff for suggestions & dropping prices when needed.
  • When do I get an email with the details about my Rack Hire?
    Information emails go out one week prior to the beginning of your booked month. Please always check your junk & spam. That email has all details about your monthly Rent-A-Rack hire.
  • How do I know what day I have to set up and pack down my Rack?
    We are always closed at all stores on the last day of every month. That is the day that you will set up, so for example, if you have booked a rack for December, your set up will be the last day of November. Pack-down details change slightly each month, so the date & time are always outlined in your information email.
  • What clothes can I sell?
    Anything & everything (within reason, offensive text etc is not welcome). As long as it is clean and undamaged, we welcome it in our Thrifter stores. We do however find that extreme fast fashion brands like Shien etc are not often purchased so we recommend steering clear of selling those.
  • How do we know what sells throughout the month?
    Sellers get weekly updates sent in the WhatsApp Chat as well as 2 individual emails each month.
  • What is the set up service/pick up service?
    Set Up Service - you drop your bagged & tagged items off as close to the set up day as possible & staff set up your rack for you. Pick Up Service - you leave your bagged & tagged items at your chosen location (house, work etc) within a 20km radius of our store, and our staff will collection on the chosen date & time and set your rack up for you. *Pick Up Service is only available for Noosa & Kawana locations.
  • Where are your stores located?
    Our store locations are found below this FAQ section of this website.
  • What are your opening hours?
    Monday - Closed Tuesday-Sunday*, 9am-2pm Closed on the last day of every month. Sale Weekend falls on the last full weekend (Saturday & Sunday) of every month. *Public Holidays may affect these days/hours, please always check our Instagram as we will post on there if closed/open on public holidays.
  • Can I return an item?
    We do not do returns/refunds. We are selling clothes on behalf of the community who have purchased racks. We recommend you look over the items you are wanting before purchasing to make sure you love them!
  • Can I ask for a discounted/changed price?
    There is no changing of prices. The sellers set their prices & we cannot change those. We have a sale weekend on the last Saturday & Sunday of the month with racks from 10%-50% where you can purchase items on sale.
  • Can I try things on in your stores?
    Of course! We have change rooms in all stores. We ask that you keep these tidy by placing unwanted items on our put-back rack outside the change rooms, hung up properly.
  • How do I know if a high-end item is real or not?
    In our T&Cs, we remind sellers that is is up to them to get their items authenticated & provide an authentication certificate. If they do not provide that, it is up to you wether or not you you want to buy it.
  • What sizes do you sell?
    We encourage sellers of all sizes. This is however completely dependant on the sellers stock.
